A Dutch compressed pear-shaped teapot on an openwork floral and foliate shaped circular base, with a part-fluted leaf-capped rising curved spout, beaded scroll handle and domed detachable cover with fluted everted rim and baluster finial, the body and cover each decorated with friezes of concave and convex shells, scalework, scrolling foliage, strapwork and tassels, Harlem, mid 18th Century - 6in.
