An oak desk box, with sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior, above parquetry frieze, the left-hand side carved with thistles, the right-hand side with a trailing vine and the reverse with arcades filled with acanthus, restorations, English, early 17th century -- 24in. (62cm.) wide.
