A wakizashi, shortened from a katana, with grooved steel blade, with foliate iron tsuba, silk bound shagreen hilt with brass menuki modelled as fish, plain irn fuchi-kashira and black lacquer scabbard fitted with iron kozuka decorated in brass and copper with prunus sprays -- the blade 13.in.long, circa 1500, signed Nariyuki.
