A RARE BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER, LIDING
Shang dynasty (circa 1600 - 1100 BC)
Raised on three columnar legs, each lobe of the body cast with a horned ram's head with bulbous eyes centered on a slender flange continuing up into a narrow band of stylised dragons, all reserved on a leiwen ground, with a pair of loop handles rising from the inwardly canted rim, the patina of a dark and greyish-green tone, horn chipped, cleaned
