A SUPERB ART DECO ENAMEL AND DIAMOND VANITY CASE, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
The front depicting a hunting scene, the black enamelled case with rose-cut diamond scrolling foliate trim and push-piece, to the enamelled and mother-of-pearl inlaid cover decorated with two horsebacked men, a boy and four dogs pursuing a leaping buck, enhanced by a platinum and mother-of-pearl castle in the distance, opening to reveal a fitted mirror, two covered compartments and lipstick holder, mounted in 18k gold and platinum, circa 1926, 3½ x 2 3/8 x ½ ins., with French assay marks and maker's marks, in its original Van Cleef & Arpels green leather fitted case
