AN EXQUISITE DIAMOND, ONYX AND DEMANTOID GARNET WASP BROOCH, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
Realistically designed as a wasp clutching an old European-cut diamond, the single-cut diamond arched body enhanced by calibré-cut onyx banding, extending table-cut diamond wings accented by calibré-cut demantoid garnets, to the marquise-cut diamond head, mounted in platinum, (inscribed "Country of Origin: France"), circa 1927
