The shaped top above two rectangular doors inset with leaded and stained glass panels depicting Glasgow roses, the side supports with similar panels, the hinged fall-flap enclosing a fitted interior with
two short drawers and variously-sized pigeon holes, above three long and two short drawers, on shaped bracket feet, the plated brass handles cast with stylised organic birds

Lot Essay

Ernest Archibald Taylor (1874-1951) worked for the Glasgow House Furnishers and Decorators Wylie & Lochhead between 1899 and 1906, latterly achieving the position of Chief designer in the Art Furniture department.
