A pair of late 18th/early 19th century Dutch japanned pewter chestnut urns and covers, the sienna ground tapering oval bodies painted and heightened in gilt with figures, buildings and ruins within foliate borders, with twin lion mask ring handles, on stepped bases -- 12¾in. (32.4cm.) high.
