A Satsuma part teaset comprising a teapot and cover, sugar bowl and cover, milk jug and cover and six teacups and saucers, all painted and heavily gilt with pheasants among chrysanthemums, peonies and irises on the banks of a river -- the teapot 6½in. high, signed; a broad pear shaped tripod decorated with shaped panels of cranes among flowers and bamboo -- 7½in. high, signed; and two smaller koros similarly decorated -- both approx 5in.high, both signed.
