A superb fan, the scalloped leaf painted with lovers in the manner of Pillement by an Altar to Hymen and a sunburst inscribed with a hidden message Le Bonheur, the verso with Chinese and other children and the sunburst, the ivory sticks finely carved with lovers, the guardsticks with chinoiserie buildings and figures - 10.5in., French, circa 1750 (one guardstick very neatly repaired)
