Two albums containing approximately 38 autograph letters, signed and 160 clipped signatures, including a two-page autograph letter, signed by Wellington, from Hatfield, October 27th 1831, to Lord Lamouth, thanking him for a gift; a two-page autograph letter, signed by Gladstone, from 6 Carlton Gardens, May 26th 1849, recipient unknown, discussing the Rebellion Losses Bill; a two-page autograph letter, signed by Louis-Philippe, from Twickenham, October 8th, 1904, recipient unknown, discussing military strategies: "I forwarded your memoire to the Duke of York...they bestowed many undoubtedly well deserved praises upon your work, & I am inclined to think the Commander-in-chief will approve of your plan...I insisted also on the advantage of employing smaller vessels, & the difficulty for the enemy to hit in so short a time...all of which appeared to me to be relished by the Duke;" other letters include those by Henry Irving and Leslie Ward.
