A very rare group of early painted building bricks
made of shaped triangular wood blocks each with applied panel, some with shaped tops, depicting interior and exterior scenes by a naive provincial artist, including the Coronation of George IV, a man having stolen a leg of lamb and being brought before a Magistrate, and a woman shouting at her husband, six with decorated tops, two with a crown, and bridges painted with soldiers crossing - 1¼in. to 4in. high, English circa 1820s ( some damaged )
