A late 18th Century Swiss gold rectangular cut-corner snuff box, the engine-turned body with engraved floral borders, the interior of the lid engraved 'This snuff box belonged to Sir John Hopkins, Knt., Lord Mayor of London, 1791-2 to whom it was presented by friends in the corporation'.
