The above cap was awarded to George Wall. Born in County Durham on 20th February 1885, Wall joined Manchester United in 1906 from Barnsley. During his time at United he helped the club to their Division 1 Championship wins in 1908 and 1911, and also was an F.A. Cup winner with the 'Reds in 1909. He joined Oldham Athletic from United in March 1919 and thereafter there were spells with Hamilton Academicals, Rochdale and Ashton National. Between 1907-13 Wall played a total of seven full International games for England and played for the Football League on five occasions.
