An oak bureau, carved overall with geometrically arranged flowerheads, trefoils and acanthus, the panelled superstructure with two shelves on turned column supports, the sloping fall centred with figures in roundels and enclosing a fitted interior with two short and two long drawers below on bracket feet, the bureau 18th century, later carved -- 34in. (87cm.) wide.
