An Arita dish with foliate chocolate rim painted in underglaze blue, Kakiemon enamels and gilt with two boys beside flowers and grasses in a rocky garden within a moulded border of interlacing prunus and pine branches and birds in flight above rockwork (some firing spots and enamel rubbing) -- 10¾in. diam, 18th Century.
