A mahogany eight-day longcase clock, the moulded arched hood with pierced sound frets to the top and sides and centred by an acathus motif above Corinthian column pilasters flanking a brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, with pierced cast-brass hands, painted moonphase to the arch, the trunk inlaid with an urn and swag within a chequered border, above a bombe plinth, on brass paw feet, with pendulum and two weights, English, late 19th century -- 94¾in.(2405cm.) high.
