carved and painted to each end with a peacock -- 23.in (58.4cm) long; a painted ivory bodkin of curved shape, surmounted by a bird and painted with flowers -- 9.in (22.9cm) long; a painted ivory powder horn in the form of a ram -- 3½.in (8.9cm) long, 18th century; an ivory back scratcher carved with an elephant head and a hand -- 17¼.in (43.8cm) long; an African ivory cane handle in the form of a European figure holding a book -- 5½.in (14cm) long; and an ivory stick.
