A Chinese ivory cylindrical brushpot
pierced and deeply carved with a continuous scene of an Immortal and attendants beside a deer among rockwork and further figures at leisure beside a pagoda, all below birds among wisteria, pine, plantain and bamboo on a cell-pattern ground, all above a foot carved with bats and foliage -- 4¾in.(12.1cm.) high.
