Nine photographs, the majority carbon prints, but including a gelatin silver print, 7¼ x 5¾in., to 14 x 11½in., three dated and with photographer's credit in the negative, two titled in the negatives, one with photographer's monogram blindstamp on recto, seven mounted on tissue, this signed Furley Lewis, of these five mounted on card. Lot Essay

Furley Lewis was elected a member of the Royal Photographic Society in 1899 and admitted as a Fellow in 1905. He photographed the President J. C. S. Mummery in 1907 and Rudolph Duhrkoop in 1908. He was elected chairman of the RPS in 1914.
