A rare J & E Stevens Co. painted cast-iron mule entering barn 'Donkey Bank', in original wooden box,

Lot Essay

Designed by Edward L. Morris, an independant desiger who submitted his design to Stevens for production. His remuneration came in the form of a royalty payment for each dozen banks sold. Mr.Morris designed three banks of record, and each was spring operated.
