A pair of Napoleon III gilt-metal-mounted and ebonised dwarf side cabinets
each with slate top above foliate-mounted friezes and a pair of doors inlaid with brass and tortoiseshell scrolling foliage, one premier partie and the other contra partie, flanked by similar uprights with bold mounts of cherubs each holding aloft a shell, on projecting plinth, with central Bacchanalean masks, the sides with similar bearded masks, one stamped Pretot 1, the other with additional polychrome floral highlights to the door panels and stamped Pretot three times, 2 BB six times and 267, each -- 45in. (115cm.) wide
