painted in the Chinese export style with the crest of a swan above a corse and the monogram ML below a banner inscribed NON.DESIDIA within wreaths of flowers below a diaper-pattern ground Van Dyke border, the stand -- 7½in. (9cm.) wide, circa 1805, probably John Rose, Coalport; and a similar slop-basin
