The arched and moulded cornice, surmounted by a c-scroll, foliate and acanthus-carved bracket, flanked on either side by a similar c-scroll and acanthus-carved bracket and fitted with two full-length panelled cupboard doors with waved bases simulating drawers, inlaid with marquetry panels on an ebonised ground of vases issuing flowersprays and with birds resting on foliate acanthus scrolls, the sides similarly inlaid, between scrolled keeled angles, on hairy claw and ball feet
