The moulded rectangular top above a foliate and scroll-carved frieze, with chevron inlay, inscribed with the initials LH and 1694, to either side, above three lozenge and foliate-carved panels, divided by two similarly carved panelled cupboard doors, between turned columns, the base with scroll-carved frieze, above two foliate-carved panelled cupboard doors, flanked on either side by a similar panel, the moulded plinth on square supports, the reverse bearing The Palace of Holyroodhouse inventory numbers, 0252; another 1799 and a paper label, typed in red ink, Holyrood Amenity Trust No.52,

English or Scottish; Dated 1694, Oak. Recessed upper stage with two panelled doors enclosing cupboards and turned pilasters supporting projecting cornice. Lower stage with two larger panelled doors enclosing cupboards. All door panels and friezes carved with floral and geometric motifs. Initials "LH" and dated 1694 on upper corner pillars.
