THE PROPERTY OF THE EXECUTORS OF A GENTLEMAN
The following forty-five lots are from a collection of silver and silver plate formed by the Hon. Hubert Beaumont M.P. (1864-1922), youngest son of the 1st Baron Allendale, which then passed by direct family descent. Although the group contains numerous antique items, various pieces were no doubt commissioned or presented in celebration of his marriage in 1900 to the heiress Eliza Mercedes Grace, daughter of Michael Paul Grace of Battle Abbey, Sussex. The collection, when not used, was stored in massive wooden plate chests. These chests are offered as lots forty-six to fifty.
