An unusual hat of black silk satin worked with metal threads, clear and coral beads, and embellished with sequins, the square crown with a scallopped flap at each side with a floral wreath encompassing a crown surmounted monogram, the base with possibly a crown of thorns, and two long lappets at the back with cartouches--5½in x 5½in x 7½in.
