A pair of Chinese ivory rectangular plaques
carved with figures in interiors and on terraces among pine and bamboo and rockwork, the reverses incised with poems, on wood and pierced ivory stands surmounted by Buddhistic lions above scrolling and geometric borders -- 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, 18th century, (both cracked, old damages).
