An exhibition standard radio-controlled electric or steam-powered 3/8in:1ft scale model of the North Sea fishing drifter 'Lilian May' of Boston, built from plans supplied by the National Maritime Museum by P. Lunt -- 31½ x 59in (80 x 150 cm)
With masts, derrick, rigging and stitched linen steadying sail with reefing points, anchor, cleats, bollards, fair leads, windlass, companionways, hatches, nets, glazed wheelhouse with ship's wheel, telegraph, voice-pipe and other furnishings, deck rails, hand rails, engine room lights, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipe and whistle, water tank, stove pipe, clinker built ship's dinghy with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, gratings, lockers, members of the crew and many other details. The hull, finely planked in pine with cross planked stern, is fitted with a 12-volt electric motor concealed within a dummy boiler, with dummy single cylinder vertical steam engine, single shaft and four-blade propellor (radio control removed). Additional equipment includes a twin vertical cylinder 'Warrior' steam engine with gear-driven feed-pump and lubricator, disc flywheel and reverse gearbox and horizontal brazed copper, gas-fired cross-tube boiler with funnel extension pipe and appropriate fittings. Finished in varnish and green with tan sail. Stand
