A well presented fully rigged and planked model of an English ship of 20-guns of circa 1760 -- 21 x 31in. (53.3 x 78.8cm.)
With bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging with scale blocks, carved lion figurehead, hair rails, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, balustrading, companionways, gratings, ship's boat with bottom boards and thwarts, hatches, capstan, guns in carriages with tackle and other details. The planked and copper pinned hull with finely carved and decorated glazed stern and quarter windows, the transom with carved reclining male figures and stern lantern, is finished in varnish with black strake and venetian red bulwarks.
