with shaped neck and bamboo feet, painted and gilt with panels of confronting ho-o and chrysanthemum sprays, all on a dark blue ground reserved with scrolling foliage, the rim with a band of key-fret design -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, signed Satsuma-yaki Tomonobu, (one foot chipped, gilt rubbing.)
