A quatrefoil box and cover
painted and gilt to the top with figures strolling in a landscape of pine and trees before Mount Fuji, the underside with a lady and four children admiring birds in flight beneath wisteria, the interior with a peony spray, the sides with narrow bands of chrysanthemums -- 4in. (10cm.) wide, signed Seikozan, (the interior rims have been touched in with gold paint, no restoration to the pottery.)
