A set of six Chinese painted marriage panels
painted with figures and attendants in interiors, opening to reveal panels inlaid in stained ivory, mother of pearl, bowenite, soapstone, lapis lazuli and other hardstones with amorous couples and attendants in various erotic embraces beside vases of flowers, rockwork and other precious items, all fitted in a silk brocade box -- each panel 10¼in. (26cm.) long, early 19th century, (minor damages).
