QUEEN ALEXANDRA (1844-1925)
A 4-page autograph letter, signed, from Marlborough House, June 11th, 1912, to Colonel Holford, congratulating him on his engagement: "I am sure you will have a very happy future together ... you must promise me not to leave us -- as we have known you so many years ... I did not know you were in the palace this morning till afterwards ... you must come another day to see me," in original envelope; with an autograph note of 5 lines, signed, from Marlborough House, [n.d.], to the Holford's, thanking them for some flowers; and two telegrams from Edward VIII to Ian Menzies, one on the death of his father George V.
