A collection of seven letters to Marjorie MacLaren, most regarding her research for a book by Jung, consisting of 2 letters, one in English the other in French, from Ernst; a one-page letter in French by Cocteau, authorising research, use of reproductions and giving various sources (including Sigmund Freud) for information on four of his films: "La Sang du poète" (1932), "La Belle et le bête" (1945), "Orphé" (1949) and "Le Testament d'Orphée" (1960); a one-page typed letter in English, signed, by Walter Gropius, discussing photographs of the Bauhaus group; and two autograph letters and a postcard from Michael Ayrton.
Provenance: By direct descent from the Late Marjorie MacLaren who was the researcher for "Man and His Symbols" [editied by Carl. G. Jung, Aldus Books. Jupiter Books. 1964]. She was also a collector of Michael Ayrton drawings. (7)
