the case modelled as a rug draped over rods supported on the shoulders of two amorini, with urn surmount, the shaped base with two floral painted pots (probably replaced) flanking tray with portrait of a lady held in a garland by cherubs, on stiff leaf cast toupie feet, the dial with individual Roman sectors and pierced gilt hands, the movement with lever escapement -- 14½in.(37cm.) wide
