A MID-VICTORIAN WALNUT, MARQUETRY AND
GILT-METAL-MOUNTED DWARF SIDE CABINET
of undulating serpentine outline, with tulipwood quarter-veneered panels and crossbanding, inlaid with boxwood and ebony lines with burr-veneered interlaced bandings, the top with a stiff-leaf foliate edge and stylised foliate decorated frieze with lion's masks, enclosed by a pair of panel doors centred by ribbon-tied floral sprays and flanked by an enclosed glazed panel door to either side, between rounded stiles headed with masks and scrolls, on a shaped plinth base on castors , stamped Edwards & Roberts, the caps stamped Cope's Patent -- 85in (216cm.) wide, 18½in. (47cm.) deep, 45¾in. (116cm.) high
