It is interesting to see how this bear's characteristics are so very similar to Steiff's 'Rod Bear' and has many characteristic of Steiff's 'Barle' PAB 35 bear

An early Steiff teddy bear
with rich golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced snout, 'cone' shaped face, black felt nose, remains of black stitched mouth, black stitched claws, swivel head, elongated jointed shaped limbs, large shaped paws, large 'spoon' shaped feet, felt pads, hump and black button in ear --28in. (71cm.) tall, circa 1905 (restoration to muzzle area, slight repair to pads)
