lined in purple plush and with jewellery drawer and central section with knob engraved with a monogram with coronet above, fitted with fifteen glass toilet jars and bottles cut with vertical and spiral flutes, each also engraved with a monogram with coronet above, two of them with lids pierced and engraved with arabesques, three of them with screw-down lids, the dressing case inlaid with a matching engraved brass monogram and fitted with a lock engraved:"Late J. Bramah 124? Piccadilly, J.T. Needs 128 Piccadilly", the silver lids Reily & Storer, London 1833 - length of dressing case 15¾in. (40cm.)
