The above jersey was worn by the Rangers and Scotland captain George Young in the match against England on 6th April 1957. The match, played at Wembley ended in a 2-1 win for England.

The jersey was given to Eric Caldow, who was making in International debut for Scotland, by his Ibrox colleague and hero George Young after the above match. This was one of George Young's last appearances for his country and between 1947 and 1957 he played 53 times for Scotland
