A ROMAN PALE BLUE-GREEN GLASS AMPHORISKOS
CIRCA 4TH CENTURY A.D.
With slender pointed body, with knob at end, cylindrical neck and flaring rim, a three band applied trail around the neck and six band trail under the rim, with twin trailed handles applied at neck and shoulder, 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high; an aubergine glass flask, the spherical body with spiral ribbing, and tall cylindrical neck with flared, inward-folded rim, circa 4th-5th Century A.D., 3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm.) high; a pale green glass 'filler' flask, the spherical body tapering to conical neck, a small spout (tip chipped) applied to side of body, iridescence, 5th-6th Century A.D., 3½ in. (8.9 cm.); and an iridescent glass sprinkler flask, the spherical body with cylindrical constricted neck and flaring rim, circa 3rd Century A.D., 3¾ in. (9.7 cm.) high (4)
