FIVE CYPRIOT BICHROME WARE FIGURES WITH ARMS CLASPED TO CHEST
CYPRO-ARCHAIC, 7TH-6TH CENTURY B.C.
Of 'Snowman' type, four with hollow cylindrical body and flaring base, one with flattened body, arms folded to their chests, faint traces of paint, possibly mourning figures, bases restored, 5¾ to 5 1/8 in. (14.7 to 13.1 cm.) high; and two similar figures, one with left arm clutching the chest in mourning and the right arm raised to the deity, faint traces of paint, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; the other figure wearing tall conical headdress, with right arm across the chest and left down by side, traces of black painted stripes, 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high, both repaired with restoration, Cypro-Archaic, 7th-6th Century B.C. (7)
