A CYPRIOT WHITE PAINTED WARE BIRD ASKOS
END OF LATE BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 1300-1050 B.C.
In the form of a bird, tapered towards the tail end, the head with tall neck and open trumpet-shaped mouth, bulbous eyes, ribbed loop handle on the centre back with second trumpet-shaped aperture behind, black painted linear decoration including bands of triangles and diamonds, three restored legs
