TWO LARGE CYPRIOT BLACK-BOTTOMED RED POLISHED WARE BOWLS
EARLY BRONZE AGE, 2500-1900 B.C.
Comprising a hemispherical bowl of stylized bird form, the tail in the form of a trough spout, a pierced pointed lug as the head on the rim opposite, and two projecting bi-lobed wing-shaped lugs on either side, the exterior red glazed, one lug repaired; and another bowl similar, with twin cutaway spouts, small bi-lobed lug on the rim above, a pierced pointed lug on the rim opposite with incised hatches on the flattened top, and a diminutive lug on each side, minor restoration
