Lot Essay

The above unique item relating to the Busby Babes was gained by the vendor as a child when he won a competition held by the Manchester Evening Chronicle. By winning the competition, the vendor was taken with the Manchester United party to the match in Bilboa and the autographs were collected by him at the banquet after the match. The autographs of the two Manchester Evening newspapers reporters Don Hardisty and Alf Clarke are also included.
