Tasting note: The 1975 Giscours is one of the outstanding successes for the vintage. Close to full maturity, it exhibits a powerful, well-balanced style. The color remains a healthy dark garnet. The wine possesses a rich, concentrated fruit, full-body, admirable ripeness, and overall sense of balance despite strong tannin in the finish. This thick, rich Giscours may be the finest wine made between 1970 and 1994. It will continue to drink well for another 15+ years...Last tasted, 12/95. Robert Parker, Bordeaux A Comprehensive Guide.
