Maker's mark of Nicolas Fauconnier, Paris, 1782-1788, with charge and discharge of Henri Clavel, and some later French duty marks
On three spreading reeded and claw feet, the circular spreading lower-part of the body applied with a wide engraved band of stylized scrolling flowers and foliage, corded band above, the upper-part with fluted spreading capped spout with festoon, the partly wooden detachable handle (broken) with floral baluster, the hinged cover with reeded, beaded and floral band, bud finial, inside the cover with two contemporary monograms
