Further details
The message on the back of the stamps reads, "Dear Brother, We feel everything is unpleasant, but we have to work or go anywhere we are ordered to. We can't come home until we are permitted. We are having special lecture for communist, it will last for at least six months because we lack ideology. Can you be patient for this? My sister is not at home recently, she couldn't get enough food or sleep, she has uncertainty for her life and is loosing weight, but I can do nothing for her. Most disgusting guy is the chief manger of the district bank. I can't stand this young chap who just finished high school, his swaggering to us to magnify his office. I have much to complain about and grudge since I came here. My sister insists not to write such a thing but I can't keep it in my mind without saying anything."
