A Rockingham pale-grey-ground composite part tea service
comprising: a baluster teapot and cover, with crown finial and scroll handle, painted with two landscape vignettes within scroll-moulded and gilt cartouche, above an alternate pale-grey and white spiral section, on four shell-moulded feet, pattern 1235; a sugar bowl and cover, with crown finial and two scrolling handles, painted with loose sprays of flowers, a slop bowl, a milk jug, a two-handled oval plate, five teacups, five coffee cups and five saucers, pattern 1220, puce griffin marks, circa 1830 (some damages and repairs throughout)(a lot)See illustration (21)
