An important archive collection of photographic negatives. A comprehensive group of approximately 4,000 black and white images detailing Maserati Works activities from 1920s to 1980s providing a factual record of factory production, chassis and mechanical layout and technical specification, promotional and publicity material, motor racing and competition, personnel and personalities, with special coverage given to post-war production road cars and their respective coachwork styles, including modified artwork negatives for catalogue production, service manuals, handbooks; all types included from a selection of pre-war racing and sports-cars, and all post-war production, sports, racing and road-going types etc. Mostly glass negatives of varied dimensions and including negative film transparencies, some duplicated and negative copied; more than 4,000 images contained in 12 files, some with minor cracks, some annotated and attributed, but without index or written identification.
